In the life we need passion. The sports, the music, the cinema make that we can change our ideas. We like sports and our favorite sport is the hockey. We like this sport because when we are on the ice we forget all the distractions and we're ready for hours of fun. Hockey is the national sport of the Canadians and at the last olympics (The 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games) , the Canada won the gold medal. But maybe that if you're born in Africa you don't know what is the hockey. On the ice we are 12 players, 6 players by team but, it has one special player by team that we call the goaltender. He has the bigger equipment because his job is to stop the puck. The objective is to take his hockey stick and to put the puck in the goal but sometimes the goaltender is very good. It has also always 2 defense. The defense try to make that goaltender can drink a coffee on the ice. If the defense is good the other team have a lot of difficulty to score goals. The players who score goals are 3. The right wing, the left wing and the center win $ millions if they put a lot of puck in the net.

The National Hockey League is the best hockey league in a world and it has 30 teams. The teams of the west conference are: Anaheim Mighty Ducks, Dallas Stars, Detroit Red Wings, Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Colorado Avalanches, St-Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets, Chicago Blackhawks, Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks.
In the east conference the teams are: Montreal Canadiens, Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs, Atlanta Thrashers, New Jersey Devils, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, Carolina Hurricanes and Tampa Bay Lightnings.
The objective of the 30 teams is very simple, they want to win the Stanley Cup. The team who won the stanley cup is the best hockey team in the world. In 2002-2003 the New Jersey Devils were the champions. In final they beat the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in seven games.

When we play hockey you forget the rest and you give all you can to win because nothing beat the feeling of the victory! This sport is played in more than thirty-five countries in the world and every year new children discover this sport who is the BEST !
